Watermark Using GIMP Protect your images from Internet theft! |
|
Do you want
your images protected?
How to watermark your images by yourself: In GIMP, open up the image you want to use, and add a new layer to it named "watermark" and be sure to set the new layer to have a transparent background. Unselect the visibility on the image layer by using the "Layers" window. You should now see a gray/light gray checkered space. This means it's transparent. Press the "A" button for text. Make a box by dragging diagonally in the checkered area. Type the text you want in the input box and click OK. Play with the buttons in the toolbox until you get the size and spacing you want. Now, with the text area still selected, use Filters -> Distorts -> Emboss... and press "OK." Reselect the image layers' visibility. Move the text around the image to get it where you want it. Once you are satisfied with your new image, File -> Save and maybe "Export" should do the trick. It varies depending on the original file type. The best option is to use full quality. Don't want to do it yourself? Hire it out: If you want me to watermark your images for you, send an email to josh {at} 7eaglesfly {dot} com (that's me.) Include the images you want to have watermarked and the text you want me to watermark them with. Also, the default spot for a watermark is the bottom right. If you want it somewhere else please tell me in the email. The whole thing is only $2 for up to ten pictures. If you want more it will be another $2. I'll send you a link where you can pay using PayPal and I'll send you your watermarked images. Thanks! Josh Meyer, Webmaster |
